OFF WE GO!

So, we're ready to go, except for what we've forgotten, what we left behind, and what we thought we took but left behind.

We're sitting in Vancouver Airport, waiting for the big silver (midnight) bird. (Yes, Chjris & Jami, we had lots of time for dinner).

Here's what 2 bicycles and enough gear to choke a horse looks like.  Every bag or box weighs between 46 & 49 pounds.

The sad guy in the middle is in good hands with Pat, Ben & Bailey.

Two things to contemplate:

1. How much will it  cost in extra fees to get the bikes onto our flights.  So far Air Canada only charged us $50 each.

2.  Once we pay all that money for the bags what are the chances everything gets to Quito?  We have 3 flights on 2 different airlines, so a betting person will use words like "Snowball's chance" and "hell."
